Northwest Corp's 2nd Annual Safety and Solutions Showcase: A Commitment to Employee Well-Being and Community Collaboration
At Northwest Corp., we believe that the biggest thing we grow is people. This mission drives us to prioritize the safety, well-being, and professional development of our employees. Our 2nd Annual Safety and Solutions Showcase, held this year in Sioux Falls, SD, exemplifies this commitment. This event brought together a diverse group of businesses and community resources, providing our employees with valuable insights and tools to enhance their safety and well-being both on and off the job.
A Gathering of Community and Industry Leaders
The Safety and Solutions Showcase is more than just an event; it's a celebration of collaboration and learning. We invited several businesses and organizations that we work with directly or indirectly, as well as those that serve as valuable community resources. Each vendor set up a booth, allowing our employees to interact, learn, and engage with the services and products they offer.
Avera's booth focused on educating our employees about the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) counseling services. These free and confidential services are available to our employees and their immediate families, providing support for personal and professional challenges.
Representatives from The Helpline Center were on hand to discuss the 211 and 988 community resources. These services offer critical support for mental health, crisis intervention, and other community needs.
As our current benefit providers, Aflac and Acrisure played a key role in the event. They provided information on the various benefits available to our employees, ensuring they are well-informed about their options.
Primerica's "How Money Works" program offered financial support and guidance, helping our employees make informed decisions about their financial futures.
Known for their industry-leading tools and equipment for concrete cutting, Hilti showcased their latest innovations, emphasizing the importance of using the right tools for the job.
Tenna introduced their software for inventory management, highlighting how technology can streamline operations and improve efficiency.
Specializing in PPE gear, Stand Houston provided essential information on personal protective equipment, reinforcing our commitment to safety.
Dakota Riggers focused on rigging and fall protection equipment, crucial for our employees working in high-risk environments.
Empower U's booth was all about well-being, offering pre-trip and post-trip stretching routines to help our employees stay healthy and injury-free.
Husqvarna showcased their concrete cutting tools and equipment, demonstrating the latest advancements in the industry.
The South Dakota Department of Transportation provided insights into roadside inspections and other transportation-related safety measures.
Fostering a Culture of Safety and Well-Being
The Safety and Solutions Showcase is a testament to our dedication to fostering a culture of safety and well-being at Northwest Corp. By bringing together these valuable resources, we aim to equip our employees with the knowledge and tools they need to stay safe and healthy.
One of the highlights of the event was the food truck from Big Poppa's Food Truck, sponsored by Aflac and Acrisure. This provided a fun and relaxed atmosphere for our employees to enjoy delicious food while engaging with the vendors.
Looking Ahead
As we reflect on the success of our 2nd Annual Safety and Solutions Showcase, we are already looking forward to next year's event. Our commitment to growing our people remains steadfast, and we will continue to seek out opportunities to support our employees' safety, well-being, and professional growth.
At Northwest Corp., we understand that our greatest asset is our people. By investing in their safety and well-being, we are investing in the future of our company and the communities we serve. Thank you to all the vendors and employees who made this year's showcase a success. Together, we are building a safer, healthier, and more prosperous future.
